I did look at a deal once to combine my house insurance with my cars. Worked out to about 390% extra.

I had been paying $140-150 for one car when I lived in Massachusetts, and here it depends a lot on what kind of car you drive. I don’t know how it works in the UK - I assume the laws are different. Like, we have a 30 year fixed rate mortgage, which as I understand things doesn’t exist over there, so I’m sure the mechanics of insurance are different

It depends on the car here too. For example, if you want to increase my insurance by about 15%, move it up an insurance bracket. 1/

Easiest way to do that in the UK is to have an automatic gear box. For my cars that's an automatic rise of 1 insurance group. 2/2
