So tiny!
I work near a nature preserve in Florida. Client comes in with a teeny tortoise he found outside! He wouldn't poke his little noggin' out to say hello - he was probably scared.
So cute!
Pen for scale because I don't have a banana at work. BUT LOOK HOW ITSY BITSY IT IIIIIS. (pardon me, I'm used to seeing only giant gopher tortoises around here...)

Yes, he was released after this. Just in case anyone was wondering. We ARE near a nature preserve and he IS "protected wildlife."

I had no idea. I've seen gopher tortoises around here like the size of dinner plates. I figured it was a baby gopher tortoise, but (1/2)

(2/2) his coloring was too dark to be a baby gopher tortoise... According to pictures online, I'd say it was a baby box turtle of some sort
