I subtitled it "For Iris Johnson". She passed away nine days after I wrote it. http://swordsounds.net/music/NoMoreWeariness.mp3 She was the whole reason I got into music. Never before have I had such determination to finally finish this degree. (I'm not a piano major, my main instrument is Bb Trumpet. This is a midi recording (utilizing a VSTi).)

I'm currently exploring composing using the octatonic scale as a base. It's... interesting.

Ah yes, octotonic...it took me a while to really find what to do with that scale, without just hopping around.
