OP finds happiness in small plastic chick figure

This is Goose. He lives on top of the microwave in the kitchen. I found him just laying around somewhere and figured he might like something to do. He is now employed as my kitchen assistant. His tasks include staring, staying still, smiling, and bringing joy to the kitchen staff and basically anyone who meets him.
I now start the day with "Talk to me goose. What's up?"
Goose is a good employee. He is always on time (there before me in fact). Come to think of it I don't think he ever goes home. He works through his lunches and breaks, that workaholic. We may talk later about setting him up with a crib and a nice pension.

Okay but all silliness aside it can get pretty lonely back there, I'm quite isolated for most of the day with only a wall filled with orders to look at and seeing goose's derpy smile makes me really happy. He seems happy to see me and happy to be there and if a plastic chicken can bring me that much joy then I'm not gonna argue! He makes the days easier to tolerate. Thanks, man.
