Cherish the ones you love.

This little Bay Mare, Talia.

I want to let you know in advance, my English isn't the best. I'll try my best. This might be a feels ship if any one of you have experienced this before.

Ok, now.. let meet Talia, my mom adopted her around 8 or 9 years ago at horse stables. She was skinny, starved, and abandoned. No one wanted to take care of her.. but of course, being a person who love animals more than life itself.. my mom decided to adopt her and give her a 2nd chance to live her life.

Talia was my mom's 2nd horse that she adopted.

Myself, I am not a horse person, I personally thinks they are gorgeous, and amazing to watch. After my parents bought a house out in country (of course being a city girl, I was pissed about it, and I couldn't move out on my own by then.) so they could have a house with acres for horses to stay... because by then, my both parents have three horses total.

But later on, three additional horses were adopted.

This is Talia, with her best friend, Amir, the Arabian horse, who is my mom's first horse she'd ever adopted in her life. They both were always together, and couldn't be apart for long.

Well, I want to say from what I should've learned, but never really think about it until it happened.
Cherish your close family relative, your close/best friends, or even your pets. ANYTHING can happen within blink of an eye. Talia was one of my favorite horses, she was the sweetest one I've ever met, and she'd give you a hug with her head after you give her a treat, and she's always excited and calling out from the barn when she hears one of us coming home from work, or going out shopping or whatever.

Well, on my birthday, three days ago. I got a text from my mom, that we lost Talia, and I wasn't sure why. She was very healthy, and very happy, and have zero diseases. Well, horses are more fragile than you think. My mom was letting all of horses (5 that time.) out of barn for a day to grazing and so on like usual, they always would run and bouncing, bucking for a bit before they settle down to graze. Talia took a misstep, on part of downhill, and slipped, and she tried to catch herself with her other leg, and her entire bone of her leg shattered. My mom knew right away after she heard the snap. That means it's time to say good bye, there is no chance you could save a horse if they breaks a bone in their leg. Race horse or not.

It happened so fast.

TL;DR: cherish people/animals you love, anything could happen before you know it. Make sure you tell them you love them, and spend time with them if you love them that much.

Very sorry for your (and your mom's) loss. Horseman all my life and yes - can be quite sudden. <3

Yeah, same goes with her last horse who passed on from surgery complication. Infection traveled to his brain.. then he's gone.

Now my mom only have one horse of hers left, and my dad have all three of his still around.
