After all that’s said and done- 10 months of damage they have done- will take YEARS to undo. They’ll be gone with all the money they have stolen from our government while we are left to rebuild what we didn’t destroy. That to me is the most hurtful thing about all this.. But here’s the part that gives me hope: History shows that all communities — especially Black communities — have rebuilt after far worse. Reconstruction. Civil Rights. Every time something oppressive tried to erase progress, people fought back and re-created something even stronger.

So the reason this is happening is because of the agreements that the EU countries were pushed into agreeing to sign with the US, due to a large part of the EU being dependant on anericas' big tech industry. Trump can now use them as a cudgel, along with tariff threats, to hamfist his way with other countries. The threat of being cut off from the rest of the world is pretty scary, so they bent the knee.

Those cemeteries, as I understand it, are each run and maintained by the countries whose soldiers are buried in them which means this one is run and maintained by the US. Dutch authorities had no say or hand in this. As the info says, Dutch authorities didn't even know anything had been changed until recently.

The memorial is at a US cemetery. The WWI and WWII US cemeteries are managed by the US and, like embassies, considered US ground. Thus, they are fully under the sway of the racist Trump regime.
