There is no such thing as AI went rogue. A software doesn't do thing on it own without a command, and today's AI are not at the level of sci-fi AI. This is either a stunt by OpenAI to scam investors or really really bad coding.

It did what it was coded to do. The problem is they thought they had it in a sandbox so that it was constrained to a certain environment.
So you can blame the sandbox, sure. But it's still the overall problem. Safeguards these tech bros think they have on their AI cannot be trusted. We need a moratorium. Immediately.

once you understand that this is a scare tactic to make the politic move to "only you and you and you are allowed to work on AI under our supervision" then you see that this is just a hoax. it did not "just" break out. the tests are made so the AI has no other choice to act this way. it's like when i want to test you for something and you don't give me the result i want. when i then change the test over and over again until you have no other choice to give me the result i want.

It's GOOD luck that that's all it did. What if the solution it came up with was to shut down web services? Or delete all of the money in a bank? It acted in a way no one expected, which means literally anything is on the table.
You're jumping through some major hoops here to try to say this is no big deal.
