Need to move the 1930s up to the 1950s. Also the 2020s is a repeat of 1870s to the 1930s. It isn't new, it's what the robber barons have been trying to return to since the New Deal.
This disregards all the stuff corporations have been doing in the past. The 30s were a lot darker than just 'make better quality products'. Destroying the competition, getting the law to side with the money and all that. The main difference is companies used to make things and actually care about being more efficient at that whilst being exploity now its more of an all in on the exploity part whilst paving over reality with more and more layers of nonsense.
and since many markets have hit a wall in terms of new technological progress, they just release essentially the same products year after year with incremental changes, but yet expect everyone to buy it. (Phones, cars, etc.)
