Decided to make a slow cooked lamb shoulder roast for new year's Eve dinner.
With only 2 hours to go, there was a massive bang and the lid pretty much exploded. 2020 decided to fuck me over one last time (hopefully)

yeahh .. happened to me too.. i put a water into the pot and the hot steam killed the lid... i bought s metal one.. no more glass lids

I'm always afraid of this, I'll wrap it in aluminum foil, for this and easy clean up and better seal.

It wasn't expensive but. Brand is Bellini in Australia. We think there must of been a fault in the handle in the top of the lid.

The way the glass shatteres it looks like that was the origin point. I'm more annoyed about the lamb than the slow cooker

Careful there’s no glass in there if you do decide to eat it.

The lamb can't be salvaged. Lid cannot be removed without the rest of the glass falling in. Looks like we are getting take out for dinner
