Promote Ranked Choice Voting, support 3rd parties and coalition building, end gerrymandering, agree to open primaries, put cop cams on politicians (OK, this one is just something I want and not likely to get more voters voting), let people have a direct non-binding vote on all legislation and see how well their elected officials listen to their constituents?

No, when you feel both are bad, you vote for the least-worst of them. Biden and Harris at least made noises about pushing for a cease-fire and resolution. Trump said he'd let Israel do whatever. Voting is never about having the perfect candidate, but how hard you'll have to push, and where you're starting to push from, once they're in office. Anyone who didn't vote is culpable for what happens to Palestine under Trump

If all they did was vote for her, maybe. But voting is just one action of one part of democracy. If they're not for what she does and speak up, then they're not culpable. Again, it's about how hard you have to push, and from where. Harris would've needed pushing on Palestine, but getting her to move her position would've been far more likely that what will happen with Trump.

Usually, Republicans vote no on anything that would make the dems look good, like that bipartisan border bill that got killed because Trump told them to.

Who do you think would've been more open to a change in policy after election: Harris or Trump? Do you honestly think there's no difference between Harris and Trump in terms of working towards a cease-fire and sending aid to Palestine? Also, there's a difference between being "Pro-Israel" and pro-genocide. Harris was trying to thread that needle, being one but not the other, while Trump is clearly pro-genocide.

If everyone able to vote had voted? Possibly. I know someone who decided not to vote. Apparently they normally vote republican, but really had a bad feeling about Trump. But that's why I consider them a coward. They know Trump is awful and will make this country worse, but they can't stand the idea of voting dem, even though they knew deep down it was the right thing to do. The fear of voting for a liberal woman scared people from doing the right thing.

If there's no leverage associated with withholding votes then why are people upset about not getting them? Until the people force the democratic party to pivot to a legitimate platform of improving conditions and not just being slightly less bad than the GOP the voting base they need to win will remain unmotivated.
