We take a break from our regularly scheduled Curtailed strip for the latest from Pixie & Brutus.

Sorry for the missed day. I know, I know, it's okay... Still.. I feel sorry for not getting the daily post out. Life has been absolute hell and I'm trying my best to get some sense of normalcy back. Hopefully nothing catastrophic will happen in the next three days and I'll be able to have a full night's sleep again.

EDIT: Well well well... How interesting. We've brought in an independent exterminator who looked over the apartment and confirmed what I already suspected.... The exterminators that the building company hired lied for them. The infestation is no where near as bad as they said it was, and suddenly their story is changing. The longer they're challenged the more the truth comes out. The downside of all this is that there is a clause in our lease that says we have to pay for any exterminator they have to bring in because of us. We're sure it's some kind of strong arm tactic to try and force us out if we can't pay for it. But since their exterminator lied and didn't treat anything, I'm not sure how much that holds water. Not to mention the lease expired and we were on month-to-month. No matter what happens we may be stuck with a massive bill we can't afford. Such a lovely time. No matter what happens, we may end up moving anyways just so we don't ever have to deal with this company again. I don't know right now. I just want to get through the weekend without any more pain or stress.
