This is a sad thing that I know. When I was young working inthe grocery in US, we'd have to tell people to buy cat food.;less bone meal so more nutrition. Broke my heart i used to give people food all the time

I was mixing wet and dry dog food for my dog and also making tuna for me to eat. My brain was asleep so I reversed it. The dog got a bowl of tuna and dry food and I accidentally ate a Pedigree chopped chicken, liver, and beef sandwich. I do not recommend. The dog then got the rest of the sandwich, minus one bite.
Tuna has the most creatine by weight because you can eat it uncooked. Cooking burns off more than just fats. Steak technically has higher creatine but you wouldn't (and shouldn't) eat raw beef unless you want brain parasites (t. gondii) for the rest of your life like 12% of americans.
Oh I'm being quite literal I'm afraid. https://www.cdc.gov/parasites/toxoplasmosis/index.html The parasite gestates in young cat intestines but the primary vector is uncooked red meat. If you heard about a parasite that affects mammalian behavior by making rats unafraid of the smell of cat urine, that's this parasite. They are called a brain parasite because they lay eggs in your brain btw.
Tried to rescue a kitten that some folks had only been feeding dry dog food. Had plenty to eat but was starving anyway. Vet advised me that cats cannot survive on just dry dog food.
oh you can eat it, but is food...? ...it's just sugar & protein, so I guess so? ...but now I am wondering, serious question: Do girls usually have better complexions than boys because they get facials? ...gotta think yes...?
This is embarrassing to be coming from a university. Notice how they have links on a couple phrases about combining beans with other plants, but they go to sites like "foods-healing-power" instead of any science. It's an outright lie where they imply beans "don't contain all the animo acids". While beans are comparatively low in a couple amino acids, making some want to brand them "incomplete proteins", you would still get the recommended daily intake of all amino acids eating just beans, so>
>at best it's misleading to tell people they need to worry about combining plant foods. Look at the amino acid profile of common beans https://aminoco.com/blogs/nutrition/amino-acid-profile-of-beans . The worst offender is lentils with only 21% RDI of Methionine/cup. So lord have mercy, you'd have to eat about 5 cups of lentils to get 100% of all amino acids. Dietary protein problems are virtually unheard of even in careless vegans https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6893534/
I just make my own sausage egg McMuffin using chicken sausage patties, two thin slices of cheese, on CarbSmart English muffins. 11g net carbs, 15g fat, 28g of protein. Mustard and pickle chips instead of buttering the muffin.
Why is that weird? Can of tuna is 31g protein and high in omega-3 fatty acids and chunk light tuna is relatively low in mercury. Just don't want to go crazy and eat too much of it.
It still is! Many people in the fitness scene use it as a cheap source of protein and easy access. However, the outdoor backpacking scene loves tuna even more! Those tuna packets are extremely helpful for long distance hiking due to weight, nutrition, and cost. Usually put on a tortilla or in ramen.
However, issues with mercury can be a concern for longer thru hiking trips lasting for months. Or if your like me and can’t stomach the stuff lmfao.
The same for infantry as well! And for the same reasons. There is nothing quite like a tuna can that had it oil burned out with toilet paper for breakfast at 0530 after a night of 30km hike.
Sure! But first know that this can't be put in writing without sounding completely disgusting. And the finished "product" usually has a super strong burnt/smoked flavor that isn't for all. There are multiple methods, but the easiest is to open the can without spilling the oil. Then take a few rectangles of tp and cover the tuna so the paper soaks up the oil. Place the lid on top of that and light it all up. It will be "done" when it stops burning or when you're to hungry to wait.
Serve on top of a bread that has been squashed all night in your rucksack. Sprinkle as little sand and dirt as you can manage. For desert, have some peanuts and trail mix. For best experience, have a friend near by yelling at you that you're running out of time. "ready for movement in 10! 9! 8!..."
In his autobiography, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin talks about how when he was absolutely broke as a rookie wrestler, he would buy cans of tuna and bags of potatoes
Ahhh, my prices would be based around MO, MS, TN, NC/SC. Currently looking at the Walmart (ew) down the road online, the tuna cans are $1.14 for Starkist 5oz cans pre tax
That doesnt sound bad. Mixed with small chopped celery and grapes, milk and, just a little miracle whip with the usual dill, pepper, pinch of salt, garlic, and onion powder. If it was refrigerated it'd probably be pretty damned refreshing for a savory smoothie. Maybe have a sun dried tomato scone with it. Fuck it's too late for me to be this damned hungry now.

This is a widely-held myth. All plants have all the essential amino acids, and you'll get enough of all of them in any ~2000-kcal plant-based diet with very few exceptions. This idea originated in a book "Diet for a Small Planet" by Frances Moore Lappé in 1971, and she walked it back and corrected herself in a 1981 edition. Unfortunately many people were just influenced by the original book and continue to spread the false info.
