Stupid Hobby Tax; My current WWE display. This is all I do with my silly little WWE things. I just enjoy making fun little displays like this. I only really try to collect people I know and can easily recognize... Mostly characters from the 90's when I was a dumb teen and far more invested in it.
I got a response from Mattel customer service. Apparently they do not have any of the rubber rope bands in stock for their replacement parts. So they decided to just replace the entire thing, free of charge. This is how customer service is handled. Mattel Canada has had stellar customer service any time I've ever had to deal with them, and it's always been a pleasure.

I was pretty surprised by that too. I was expecting a link to the proper item on their parts store and to pay for them, which I would have been fine with. This was unexpected but it just reinforces why I love Mattel as a toy manufacturer. I've had lots of great dealings with them for my old Halo Megabloks collection

I sell interesting products from Japan, and a cup decades ago there was a big WWE boom here with lots of figures are released in Japan that people all around the world were buying for us. Those were fun days.

It's been a fun little hobby for me. There are two figures I'm currently trying to find, but it's starting to look like ebay is my only option. I want one of the ultimate series John Cena figures, but more importantly, there's a purely transparent plastic John Cena figure that I want. The jokes write themselves. Even on the day of delivery I could just look at my step son and go "THEY SENT ME AN EMPTY PACKAGE!!" lol

No? What would make you think I'm a professional wrestler? Although, funny enough, my partner's father was a pro wrestler back in the 80s on the Canadian circuits and a very short stint in the WWE before his wife made him quit

Aaaah. lol Naw, I'm just a dork who loved it as a teen. It was honestly John Cena as a character that brought me back into it as an adult. All I saw was this absolute goofball doing the "you can't see me" crap and it got my attention. Started playing the 2K games again, eventually began watching wrestling when it hit netflix, and I've just recently started collecting the figures.
