That scream was pretty justified considering he broke his toe (not sure if he broke more than one).

I think it was one, but that's already pretty bad. But it makes these scenes just so much more intense, when knowing it.

which scene was this. I've read/seen a lot about the filming of lord of the rings but I don't think I've come across this yet.
