I know it will be downvoted to oblivion, but

What if we started saying 'lal' when someone didn't get the joke (as an analogue to 'lol' )
Edit: Lal is the name of the Star Trek character who fails to catch the ball. She is the 'daughter' of Data and she was still in learning mode, don't judge her :)
