Hello again! Here is another amethyst cut by request of a fellow imgurian! This stone has some of that nice blue pleochorism in it, and changes color from a more purple blue to magenta purple depending on lighting. This is similar to a stone I cut previously.

The rough material, 12.94 ct rough, with a 2.4 ct cut weight leaving a yield of about 19 percent.

Working on the bottom.

Polishing the bottom.

Flipped over! Time to work on the top!

Polishing the crown.

Completed stone! Taken outside (it was overcast)

Didn’t mind the foot.

Kitten tax, with more feet. And Maui is getting used to his harness. This one was cut by commission and already has a home.

I have a topaz that has grounded down facets due to wear and tear. Is it possible to redo the facets?

Stones can be repaired or recut, but it depends if n the value of the stone as to if it is worth it. Depending on severity it can cost(1/2)

As much to repair it as to recut it. It is hard to tell without seeing it.
