Crazy sandwich creation

Jun 1, 2025 9:34 PM

Am I crazy? There were three pieces left in the bag of “everything” bread including the two heels, so I made a double-decker sandwich. One deck is pb and pickles (homemade bread-n-butter pickles) and the other deck is pb and banana. An odd combination, but it should be good!

When I was a kid I would make myself a roast beef, pickles and cream cheese thing just like this except it was a Triple-Decker. I didn't make them very often because they were real gut-busters.

Are you pregnant? Because if not, that should be a crime.

I often do this when there's only three pieces left, although I don't add separate ingredients - it's just like two sandwiches put together.

Yeah, I usually do that with pn&b, but I might try it with pb & honey on the other side…

And it was good. Quite filling, actually.

Peanutbutter goes surprisingly well with Cucumber, both in pickled and non-pickled forms.

Yes, I’m no stranger to pb with bananas or pickles, but both together was something new. I’ve converted other to pb and pickles, but I never tried it with raw cucumbers. Hmmm….

I caveat and say that it really needs a pinch of salt, but that's how I eat cucumbers anyway.
