So, they appear in the Invalice Final Fantasy games and Final Fantasy XIV. They share a similar narrative space to elves, being broadly forest dwelling, in tune with nature and magic, and having incredible lifespans.
The depicted lady is Fran from XII, and despite the outfit is a more gruff and stoic warrior type.
The first group of Viera encountered in XIV are regarded as basically death incarnate; trespass in their part of the forest and you’re dead by hail of arrows.

Final Fantasy 12 or 14
I still need to get around to 12, so I don't know how much they go into the Viera's culture - beside having one in the main party - but 14 definitely visits a village of them in Shadowbringers.
But yeah, I'd be surprised if either really mentioned their clothes - outside of maybe a throwaway line by an NPC. FF is fairly notorious for treating "niche" costuming as an everyday occurrence.

My initial exposure to them was in Tactics A2, where one of my star units was a Viera assassin.
The Viera jobs have the highest prevalence of Doom/Instant Death, which is certainly on brand.

in 12 you go to Fran's village near the end of the game as well, iirc the lore is fairly similar between the two, though in 14 only fran really dresses that way, while in 12 they all do.
