Enjoying the last warm days of autumn, after 2 broken legs withing 6 months and finally being able to walk pain free again.
Always on the lookout for something moving. She didn't like the cold days, but loved being able to scan the horizon without any grass or trees imparing her views.
This is the last photo i took of her, only a few days ago.
Her name was India. We adopted her (together with our Rociera on the left) only 4,5 years ago from a Galgo Espanol rescue organization.
Sadly in the last 2 years she was struck by fractures in both wrists, which required joint ossification and both took quite a while for her to being able to walk pain free again.
She had another leg surgery on Tuesday, everything went fine. Yesterday she was already jumping around without pain. In the morning she suddenly refused to eat and drink and got apathetic real quick and died in our arms when we just arrived at the vet an hour later.
Next week would have been only her 8th birthday and now she is just gone... i'm broken.
