Pizza, it's what's for dinner.

Here's a fun recipe for a Beans and Hot Dogs Pizza with Anchovies, Sardines, and Mystery Red Sauce that's always a delight that I and the family always enjoy with a bonus dipping sauce because ranch is lame!

Ingredients:

1 pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup cooked baked beans (canned or homemade)
1 cup sliced hot dogs
1/2 cup chopped anchovies
1/2 cup chopped sardines
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Mystery Red Sauce (see below)
Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Mystery Red Sauce:

1 can tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.

Prepare the Mystery Red Sauce:
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, basil, onion powder, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Simmer the sauce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Prepare the Pizza:
Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal (if using a pizza stone).
Spread a generous amount of the Mystery Red Sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.

Add Toppings:
Sprinkle the cooked baked beans evenly over the sauce.
Distribute the sliced hot dogs on top of the beans.
Scatter the chopped anchovies and sardines over the hot dogs.
Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
If you like it spicy, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top.

Bake the Pizza:
If using a pizza stone, carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated stone in the oven. If using a pan, place the pan in the oven.
Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve:
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two.
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Slice the pizza and serve hot!

This pizza is definitely bold and packed with flavor! The combination of the sweet baked beans, savory hot dogs, briny anchovies and sardines, and the mystery red sauce creates a unique and unforgettable taste experience.

Now for the SAUCE: Creamy Hot Dog, Bean Water, and Canned Fish Oil Sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 cup hot dog water (from boiling the hot dogs)
1/2 cup bean water (from canned beans)
1/2 cup milk (you can use whole milk for a creamier sauce)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons oil from the canned anchovies and sardines (combined)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: A pinch of garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor

Instructions:
1. Making the Roux:

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Once the butter is melted, add the flour and whisk continuously to form a smooth paste (roux).
Cook the roux for about 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly. This helps to cook out the raw flour taste.

2. Creating the Sauce:

Gradually pour in the hot dog water and bean water while whisking constantly to incorporate.
Next, add the oil from the canned anchovies and sardines. This will infuse the sauce with a rich, savory flavor.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously.
Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat, whisking frequently, until it thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.
If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add more milk to thin it out.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and any optional garlic powder or onion powder to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

3. Serving:

Once the sauce is ready, remove it from the heat.
Let it cool slightly before serving alongside your beans and hot dogs pizza.
You can drizzle this creamy hot dog, bean water, and canned fish oil sauce over the pizza slices or use it as a dipping sauce.
Enjoy your unique pizza creation with this enhanced, creamy, and flavorful sauce!

The addition of the oil from the canned fish will give the sauce an extra depth of flavor, complementing the beans, hot dogs, anchovies, and sardines on the pizza. It's a delightful way to tie all the elements of your adventurous pizza together!

I'm not Italian. I am ethnically Portuguese. My blood is at constant rivalry with Italy. That said, for the sake of my Latin European brothers, I will spill blood for the crime you have committed against them.

Hi from Italy, cousin. To be honest we have a pizza with sausages, onions and beans. Not so many beans, that would only make it difficult to eat, but it still exists.
