Hello. Meet Little One commonly answering to Lilly for short.

This amazing little snuggle fluff got her name by not being named. First met this little critter in Moreno valley living in a no pets allowed home. I knew I was supposed The have pets so I didn't name her. As we all know once you name them you keep them. So I just called her the first thing that came to mind.

She was a stray in very sorry condition. She was small, severely dehydrated and malnourished. The poor thing was also missing huge patches of fur from sleeping on the concrete which led to sunburn and very bad sores which in turn led to her being eaten alive by ants.

I made a little shelter for her as well as providing her food, water, and love. So crap here I am with this poor cat living on my back porch who is now rather attached to me. She turned out to be an amazing companion during some really rough times. Even when this poor animal was near death by starvation she would only eat if I held her first and let her snuggle up with me for about a half hour or so then sat with her petting her as she ate. That little cat always seemed to know when I was hurting and did her best to make me feel better.

Fast forward 8 years she has long since been an indoor cat for the last 7 years. When I wake up in the morning she is waiting to greet me on the new day. When I move about the house she is never more than a few feet away. She has nice thick glossy fur now and is a happy fuzzball.

For those who might be wondering why now? I was thinking about it earlier today. About how much my life has changed for the better in those years. I finally just bought my first house at 33, left a horrible relationship behind, got custody of my children, found love again in a place that I never thought I would, and am working a job where I am appreciate, well treated, and happy.

Basically for all of the people out there facing hard times be true to yourself, be true to others, and keep on keeping on and the rest will follow. Just got to hang in there and have faith because it will get better.

P/S typed up on a phone so please forgive the grammatical and typographic errors. Also because of how dark her fur is and the texture of her fur she is near impossible to photograph so I do apologise for the poor image quality.

She’s an angel and so are you!
