An Indiana teen has been sentenced to 100 years behind bars after a gang-related shooting left an innocent woman dead and two others wounded.

According to prosecutors, Jo’Majze Larry, who was 15 years old at the time, was convicted of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and participating in a criminal organization. Investigators say the February 2025 shooting outside an Anderson nightclub was part of a plot to kill a witness in an unrelated homicide—but instead claimed the life of 26-year-old #DaylaSwain, who authorities say was not the intended target.

A judge imposed 50 years for murder and an additional 50 years under Indiana’s gang enhancement law, bringing the total sentence to 100 years.

Larry’s co-defendant, 19-year-old Rashawn Samuels, was sentenced to 125 years, while another co-defendant previously received 90 years.

Because Larry was 15 at the time of the crime, Indiana law allows him to request a judicial review of his sentence after serving at least 20 years.
