The ending of new Vegas (except Legion) if you have a speech of 100 you can persuade them the surrender. It's pretty amazing.

There are so many other situations you can BS your way out of by having high speech, barter, or even science stats.

Had that issue with a few structures. Had to use the floormat glitch to get it close to where I wanted since I'm on a console.

Place a welcome mat down, then build a wall/floor on top of that. Highlight the mat, and hold the select button to select the whole thing 1/

If done right, you'll be able to place the structure down anywhere the mat could be placed, allowing you to clip through floors and objects
