Thought you guys might be interested in this.

Is it because same sex marriage is now legal, so “partners” are now treated like girlfriends, who aren’t covered? You need to be married?

Amazon did this too, right after the law changed. Same-sex couples will now only be covered if they get married.

Technically they aren't offering insurance to hetero couples either. If same-sex couples were married they would be covered.

Well, that settles it. The next time I buy a fighter jet, I'm buying from someone else.

What's their policy on opposite sex unmarried couples?

With most insurances I know of it's pretty standard to offer no insurance to partners unless you are married.

I have insurance through my SO and we're not married. It's actually up to the company you work for not the insurance company.

I'm guessing this is updating policy from when gay marriage was illegal.
