I have been to therapy for quite a while, and after a really rough year, my therapist told me my depression might not go away, so here's some venting,
being single sucks, meeting new people is difficult, everything is expensive,
but I'm still here, I have shit to do.
I don't know when things will get better. I thought I would be married at this point in my life, but I'm not gonna kill myself and be done with it.
As I said, I'm still here, I have shit to do.
So if you're also not doing great, we're in the same boat, so grab an oar, we got shit to do.
And remember, even if it doesn't feel like it, we're awesome, and I think we'll get better one day.

That you're creative to a fault is quite a gift. I have some amazing skills of mimicry but I lack creativity in so many areas. People like you amaze me

Hi friend. It’s a shitty situation and everyone is different, but a decade ago I was where you are. There was no magical over night change, but putting in the work at therapy and doing the exercises afterwards, it slowly adds up. I’m not back to where I once was, but I am infinitely better than I have been. Always “here” if you want to vent or talk. I don’t know how, but find the little things that somehow make it easier. This did for me: https://youtu.be/SkpTNL1QEu8?si=uaro9LZ1Q4LT0bLi

Mine started in the teens. - some decades later I still carry it. I've learned to identify some triggers which cause it to flare up; and do some work to improve. A fair amount of avoidance around situations which involves those triggers. Some days it's one day at a time. Other days I fantasy about how I can off myself without leaving a mess. Other days are great. Do what works best for you, and recognize when, "what you think works" doesn't and try to address.
