.... The bottom line, folks, is that the current ecocidal capitalist experiment is nearing its natural conclusion (likely by end-of-century). If we don't educate our kids about this, they'll be left with a dying biosphere, subsisting on fake AI love and manufactured connection provided by grotesque, profit-driven tech scams (like million-dollar AI sex robots).
Meanwhile, the mega-billionaires who drove us here will inevitably fail in their dystopian space fantasies, instead merely grabbing the last remaining resources and holing up in heavily fortified bunkers (like the one Mark Zuckerborg is building). I suppose the final irony is that they'll be just as miserable, alienated, and alone as the rest of us, having succeeded in winning a game that fucking incinerated the world. Billionaire psychopaths are driving every last one of us into their Huxleyan dystopia.

The net worth of this creature is now HALF A TRILLION dollars of stolen wealth... Here's the thing, NO amount of money could make someone truly & meaningfully love anyone with such a black, decrepit, blood smeared soul. The problem with monsters like this is that the more they come 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 & 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 that they can't be loved, the more their dark insides will push them to further punish everyone of us for it.

Carry us to the stars? I've read enough sci-fi to know Earth becomes an over crowded shit hole.

It's important to credit the creator. This is from a Caitlin Johnstone essay. Her husband Tim Foley does the readings. https://x.com/caitoz/status/1988168052245230066?s=20

THANK YOU, as I didn't know where it came from either, I ran across this and thought it was perfect for copypasta.

Something that has everything to do with sentient, thinking human beings, and nothing to do with an AI algorithm that determines "the best thing to say/do" based on training data.

Infinias
If the system collapses there are now billionaires. They are not the ones in earlier times that sit on vast amounts of resources. Their entire richness comes from made up numbers on paper and not a bunker of gold. And these made up numbers are bound to a functioning society. Which is funny since none of these idiots are intelligent enough to understand this.
Targe0
No, some of them are.
That's why they are building bunkers next to farm land that they own.
They are building their own fiefdoms.
They are prepping to build their own kingdoms when everything goes to hell.
Infinias
Cement and water. With a 1 meter of concrete above the bunker door they can get fucked. And even if the crawl out they get lynched or die inside due to their own security revolting. They are not going to survive.
Targe0
Their set-ups are way more developed than just that.
They have entirely secured compounds with above ground facilities. And they have large amounts of security, and their securities families are also allowed to live there.
And large ammo supplies. Their little kingdoms come will personal militaries.
NChomsky
Thing is, no personal military will be able to save them from the wrath of the millions of remaining victims of their policies & ecocide. That said, they're likely spending some portion of their obscene wealth warping as many minds as possible, turning them into loyal "human drones" in case this hits in our lifetimes. Remember, this all might not happen for at least another 30-50 years (unless our kids end up chopping these vermin into pieces & abolish this failed economic malware before then).
Targe0
Which is why they are building these places in remote islands with small native populations.
But that are large enough to withstand sea level rise.
The masses can only get to them if they can cross the ocean.

I disagree on the space stuff because you simply cannot get there in one go, it's gotta be iterative. Babysteps. As for the rest, okay, so, do something about it? Just talking hea... no, not even a head, just a voice that might as well be AI generated itself with how it sounds. "We need change...." okay, so.... Go ahead?
NChomsky
The mistake is thinking these "iterative steps" are headed toward human civilization, rather than just maximizing profit for the parasite class. These "baby steps" toward Mars don't negate the GIANT LEAPS toward global ecocide on Earth. As for "doing something," revolution aren't tech IPOs. Voices are what first organize & build the collective power needed to seize the wheel from these 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗰𝘀. Action is rejecting the fundamental capitalist lie that their profit-driven vision is progress.

I've about had it up to hear with people whining and complaining online that We NeEd ChAnGe, then do fuck all. You know what it is? The internet has become the ultimate pacifier. Everyone can go to their forum of choice, shout their heads off and vent their frustration, then feel better and leave it at that. There's no boil-over point anymore. The US administration is the perfect proof, people at large will accept just about anything now. Chatbots are busy pacifying a large portion of the ->
ElbowDeepInYou
rest, and those sexbots they mentioned? When (not if) "good enough", "affordable enough" sexbots get on the market that's all she wrote. AI(-robots) will eliminate much of the need for a workforce, and sexbots will eliminate the workforce within 2 generations. Everyone will hump their bots and talk to their LLMs for continuous and instant gratification, while the rich won't hide in bunkers, they'll live luxuriously with the best of the best. Forever. Weird twist; might actually save the planet.
NChomsky
I feel your frustration, but don't let this twisted, defeatist view consume you. Don't mistake venting for organizing & ASSUME people are doing "fuck all". The net is a pacifier, BUT it's also a 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. I reject sterile promises of sexbots & believe in genuine human connection as the standard, UNLESS we allow ourselves to be consumed. The rich can't live luxuriously forever at this rate. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲-𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.
