8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Y tho. Might as well get a gameboy. Still need a cartridge

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

SHUT. UP. AND. TAKE. MY. MONEY.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Currently £10 off at retro fun stock if you are in the UK

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never figured out how to emulate shit on my phone lol

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Download an emulator.... Download rom.... Start emulator.... Choose rom.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was in 5th grade with a flip phone

Looks like trash. Probably handles like trash too.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Absolutely disgusting.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Blasphemy! I want the original brick back!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too bad it got such bad reviews

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure thats just the "my old boy" emulator and the gameboy case is just cosmetics

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently this device wasn't all that great, which was a shame to hear. I wanted one.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If it wasn't a phone, it'd be cool.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember when I was in Elementary, a kid in school had a gameboy micro. Those things were so cool to me 'cuz they were so easy to hide.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hugely underrated system. I had one in college. Heck, I still have it! They're worth a lot of money now!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wanted one so bad 'cuz the teachers then were stingy about that stuff so you could hide it in your pocket and play on the playeground. :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was that Quick Man for the win?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems a lot simpler to just get a real gameboy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Who's a smart boy?"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I use this and run an emulator in the cartridges place?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i wish all of these fuckers complaining about how piracy is easier or how unnecessary this is would go fist themselves because they're wrong

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got a bluetooth controller, and tried running snes emulator om my android, it works, but the input delay is terrible.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

raspi + retropie. What controller did you get?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some steel series one, dont remember the name off the top of my head.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Moga controller is nice for emulation. Retro pie is fine for emulation too but use a pie 3, the zero lags.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where do I get this for an iPhone X and a Google Pixel XL 2???

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@TheWarden52

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I need to recreate this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could just like buy one. ...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get a retro mini there Round 50and have lots of games for the Gameboy stored

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Any good games?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do you need the cartridge if you are going to run the game through an emulator anyway? Just download the ROM.

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 3

you clearly don't understand why this thing was built in the first place, mate

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can I use this and run the emulator instead of the cartridge?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, it acts like a standard controller, the cartridge reader is a bonus. Also it has triggers!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe cause ROMs are illegal. This is easier to sell cause it's using original games...also, maybe you want to use your old saves?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

(1) ROMs are not illega, possession of ROM without owning them or a physical copy consitutes copy infringement which can be taken to trial

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Step further iirc laws say legally you can have a copy of something like ROMs so long as you have proof of purchase and destroy the original

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So you basically null your license agreement if you obtain a copy of an IP but don't have proof it's a back up etc. It's all grey area stuff

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. In short, it is illegal: https://www.kotaku.com.au/2016/08/are-roms-legal-in-australia/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kotaku isn't the best source m8

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why not? The original source is a lawyer. Also see my other reply with the page from Nintendo. Give it a google mate.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You cold just get a game boy SP, play both gb and gba games. Also the battery life is much better than a phone.

8 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 3

I have a GBA with an SP screen. Was a fun mod to do and works great. Get the backlight of the SP but the ergonomics of the GBA.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

can't plug a game boy into a power bank

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh yes you can just get one with a 12v output up to 5A.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

battery is fucking INSANE

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait but with his you can have every Gameboy game ever made ever on a card the size of a chicklet

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but headphone jack

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

GBA has that, and can play gbc games

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

GBA had headphone jack but no backlight.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or the 3DS since all 5 Megaman GB games are on it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just make sure you get the right model. one is front-lit and one is back-lit. the back-lit one is better.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Resolution on the phone must be amazing though, right?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I think it'd look about the same, the game is only designed with so many pixels. It just means each visible pixel will be made up of lots ++

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

++ of actual pixels.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Games gonna look mostly the same regardless, they are primitive games and the SP was the top of the line for displaying them.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

citation needed but it will probably still look better, more crisp looking

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The games are 8 bit. You can literally see each individual pixel. Higher resolution would do nothing.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually if we’re talking gameboy titles here, Super Gameboy for SNES was probably the best way to go (or for portable, 3DS has megaman)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then just put an emulator on your phone so you don't need to carry that bulky mess with you.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You need the buttons though, most games are hard to play without feeling where the buttons are

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They sell actual controllers for phones/pc that are bluetooth or wired. I use a small one from Ipega. The PG-9017s, it's a good small size.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually run a playstation emulator on my phone too, and cast it to tv's. With the controller and phone you can play 2 player games.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats a reason to grab an SP, it still doesn't justify this....thing. SP is smaller, less buggy, and can flip closed to protect the screen.

I just got an inbox Atari 2600, game gear, lynx, game boy color but I don't have an original game boy. I'm hording them till little dudes 30

I still have my GBA portable. Cheaper. Better. Longer lasting battery. This iPhone plug in is decidedly dumb.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Here's mine!

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I gotta play through Yellow again after seeing that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hot, love the scheme!! Playing blue myself currently.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice is that a gameboy color in DMG color scheme.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great way to take a break if you get tired at work

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Sure is :).

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I chose to revive my gameboy pocket instead of the colour because it's more compact

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As that may be true, though you can install a GBA-SP LCD into a GBC and be able to play games in color and in the dark. If I can do this on

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a GBP I so would, as I think it was the perfect size for a handheld.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IIRC they make backlight kits you can install. There's a big mod community for gameboys in general

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s good to know. That means I can make my GameBoy Pocket look like a GameBoy Light. Thanks for the info, will look more into it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Buying some tires? Or maybe selling some tires? I recommend Cooper over Firestone, personally.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

How do you feel about Roy Rogers though?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Airshocks for industrial applications. I buy used tired personally, they're cheap and I drive a lot.
