#7 The best part of this is how many people self diagnose some mental issue and make it a core part of their personality. TikTok has ALWAYS been a fucking stupid platform, but if you're still using it now you really are brain rotted beyond help.

@SquirtVonnegut I didn't read a word of the propaganda dump, I'm just here for the fat tits.

Ok #1. Yes, pretty girl. But what in the fuck is that music? Big guy, big guy, big guy, big guy, SpongeBob big guy pencil kick? Or something like that? Is it just random words, I'm not hearing it right, or just "person doesn't like newer generation music music" thing?

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

#2 absolutely. And wouldn’t ya know it, that imperial boomerang is smacking us in the face right now

#7 no regrets in never participating. imgur already gives me enough of a slurry of annoying people dancing to avoid TikTok

7 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

I tried it for a day once, got a bunch of really boring courtroom videos that eventually turned into nothing but horse vets and farriers, which was easy to waste hours on but offered very little of value for me. I have 0 interest in horses, but the algorithm was right, those videos were a good fit.

I met Nana Visitor in a garden nursery. She was trying to be incognito, and it was working with everyone else. I let her keep her anonymity.

7 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

So you didn't really meet her then...

Duh: "I let her keep her anonymity WITH EVERYONE ELSE."

#2 wait are they gonna start throwing grenades at children in Minneapolis

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It wouldn't surprise me. They've already laid the ground work by saying protestors are using their children as human shields. The parallels are too obvious.

I swear to the great and powerful TikTok, that I only looked at the titty

Question is, who decides what's insane these days, that's the real scary part because if we going by what we used to then every one of his voters would be locked up so it makes me think they are determining a new way.

7 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Insanity is generally determined by the norms of society during whatever time frame we're dealing with. If you're looking for any resemblance of sanity in today's society, I wish you luck.

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It will probably go step by step. First trans, then rest of lgbtq, maybe next muslims, then any democrats and finally straight out call empathy a mental illness.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You say "these days" as if its anything new

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#13 I'm not sure if you realize this is a variation of "let's not vote Kamala because of x, and let's have Trump instead" x being Palestine, the colour of toothpaste, or whatever. Having actually read some news, I would say Tim has also done more. Just tweets is a lie. Sure, do more Walz. But the underlying message that keeps repeating in some of the political memes is better vote republicans or not at all. Very useful. For some.

Algorithm overlord, do note that the above comment was about TT for sure.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

That's pretty much the nature of the divide-and-conquer strategy foreign threat actors favor these days. Find a critical viewpoint that's reasonable, amplify it with their botnets, then start pushing a "never vote for" narrative when it's gained enough steam.

Hey downvote force. I'm not saying that was on purpose here. Just noting that there are quite many images running around with the theme 'democrats do nothing, do not vote for them' while republicans are fucking up the place. I read a fucking propaganda article about Walz and the violent leftists he is supporting here today.

The "here" above meaning here physically, not the site.

#13 Huge props to Korean legislators for fighting to preserve democracy. But you have to keep in mind that the soldiers were a) big fans of democracy themselves, b) socially conditioned to respect their elders as well as people in positions of authority regardless of party affiliation, and c) very reluctant to discharge their guns because they would have been subject to severe disciplinary actions and prosecution. No one would have fired without a direct order, and their superiors wouldn't have…

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

given such an order without an order from even higher up. And so on, through the entire chain of command. No one would have wanted to take the blame. The US is a very different country where guns are the go-to solution for everything and 99.9% of law enforcement as well as a large chunk of the military hate progressives with a passion. Look at how many capitol cops aided the insurrectionists and opened barricades. Their punishment? Suspended with pay. IOW, paid vacation time (see link below).

That depends on your point in time.

Time is irrelevant when you have the perspective of the Prophets (have watched the entire series multiple times and know the outcome of the baseball game)

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#16 Kira Nerys, played by Nana Visitor on the series Star Trek: Deep Space 9. A much more serious and realistic depiction of the Star Trek universe more than willing to examine the unpleasant truths a lot of the other shows tend to gloss over. Has perhaps the single darkest episode of any Trek series, In The Pale Moonlight, and some of the best writing, acting, and philosophizing since The Original Series.

DS9 also has most of the few episodes of time travel in Trek done well.

7 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm going to assume English is not your first language, so I'll give ya a tip.
"DS9 also has most of the few episodes of time travel in Trek done well" - Typically we'd just say "DS9 has the fewest time travel episodes". Hope this helps!

7 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No, I mean that DS9 has competently done and intelligently written time travel episodes. Trials and Tribble-ations is fantastic, as is Little Green Men. Sisko kicking off the Bell Riots is perfectly serviceable as well.

You might want to practice your reading comprehension before giving language tips, you seem not to understand what people are saying.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

ah, I see that now. I guess I got stuck in my interpretation of it, and just assumed it was a badly worded way of saying that. I was genuinely trying to be helpful, but I guess I just look like a dumb-ass now. Oh well, not the first or last time.

On-topic; I like the few episodes where DS9 did time travel that wasn't actually time travel, like Far Beyond the Stars, and that one where they had to relive Odo's time as station security for the Cardassians.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't think that's what they were saying. I interpreted their sentence as there being a bunch of time travel episodes of Star Trek across all the different series. But only a few of those were done well. And most of those were in DS9.

7 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Enterprise and Voyager for instance have time travel baked into their main plotlines and suffer for it because it's done so poorly. TNG has a few episodes that work, and a few that don't. TOS generally handles it well, and DS9 does it by far the most consistently well.

7 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've really only watched a few of TOS and most of the movies, so I can't really speak to it outside of the whales one. But I figured that was what you were saying and the other commenter was being a little condescending so I thought I should clarify.

In fairness, it was a complex sentence, but I thought you got the point across. There wasn't a much better way to do it without a few sentences to separate the nuances.
