I bought ten pair of solar glasses. I've modified my binoculars to fit my camera tripod. I'm trying different filters and settings on my camera. I'm getting my observation tables, chairs, accessories all figured out.
I've invited family and friends, because my back yard is almost dead center of totality. The longest period of totality in the country will be 2:42, and I'll have 2:37.
So start preparing - if you don't live in the line of totality, find the closest motel or park, and make a reservation, because they'll fill up soon.
An excellent graphic showing what is truly the Eclipse of a Lifetime: https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/vis/a000000/a004300/a004314/eclipse2017usa_360p30.mp4
