So It seems the Imgur community that actually likes and approves of the existence of firearms is only 2%, one being myself.

That being said, out of the 2%, have any of you other firearms enthusiasts checked out H.R. 5717 that is trying to pass through the House, Senate, and White House right now?

The current situation revolving around the COVID-19 pandemic seems like the perfect public distraction. Thus, it is easier to pass bills like this without anyone knowing or with very little resistance from the public.

Thoughts?

(I skimmed through the bill and it has a lot of concerning portions in it)

Not just gun owners, it's an attack on all Americans and many businesses.

This is why lobbyists exist.

But how are you going to lobby with COVID-19 precautions in place?

Yeah, there going to lump that into some covid19 relief bill or something like that. “Hey guys, its guns or health. You can’t have both.”

End of the bill says that 50 mil goes to the Attorney General and 50 mil goes to the Secretary of Health and Human Services for "Research"

Bill was merely introduced in sub-committee. It 8s way too ambitious of a bill to give AF about it in this form

Also, introduced before covid-19 mess so clearly not a legislative priority

Dis you bother to look at the source before calling BS. Get the fuck out if you can’t bother reading sources.

Where did you think i got the information?!

So an actual bill to be voted on is fear mongering?

Yeppirs. Cuz "getting voted on" is vague and ambiguous. You know how many times a bill like this needs to "be voted" on?

Also, what kinda support does it have? Bipartisan and executive? Not at all! Get back into ur bunker, dude
