I REALLY wanted to like the film, like really like it, but the timeline inaccuracies and bullshit anger over Freddie wanting to do some solo work pissed me off so much. Other than that, and them going really like on the dark elements of their ( let's be honest, Freddie's ) lives, they nailed it and the actors were perfect.
While I agree that this concert was legendary, I always hated the director(?) of that film. Whoever is responsible made this a Freddy Mercury solo act. This was Queen dammit. Brian May is rarely seen, Deacon and Taylor even less. As they would be a hired backing band.

Gives me chills...what a performer.
cuprohastes
A band so legendary that Freddie Mercury can make 10,000 sing along to a song, decades after he died.
freakdiablo
Every time I see the first clip I think that must have been one hell of a rush, to sing to thousands and have them sing back...
Travelcedric
41 years ago? Impossible. I watched that on TV that day and was blown away. There will never be another Freddie Mercury.

We see this every PWHL game and it never gets old.

I was alive but very tiny and not there. Sadly he passed before I was really old enough to understand the importance of his death on the queer scene.

Remembering his funeral live on tv like it's yesterday .

I've often thought that some people were never fated to become old. They will be forever at their finest.

And most of the cash raised was pissed up against the wall.

That was like… 20 years ago, right???

Take something stronger. I know that doesn’t work anymore.

Well, it was about five years or so before I was born, and now I'm pushing 40, so....
Yeah, 20 years! Seems about right! 👍

Anyone know who played the second keyboards on this show? I think he or she was hidden at the back of the stage.

I was watching that in Michigan, but we were close enough to Canada to their broadcasts. Since the US wasn't playing all of it live.

This is what I would do with a time machine....over ...and over... and over...
AlfakaGordonShumway
What a nice quality of the video .. all the YT ones are like potato quality to this.

My brother was there, the lucky cunt.

Everyone uses a time machine to kill Hitler and stuff. Not one stop to save this legend.

I got towards the end of the last gif and started getting really nervous it would end before Freddy did. https://media1.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1dTdhbXZma2J4NzVhZGg5YWo3MmxjN3l2bGl6M2djZTF1azB1ODhnNiZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/3oz8xLlw6GHVfokaNW/200w.webp

I have been to countless concerts, and I have never seen anyone having the crowd eat out of their hand the way Freddie did

Then you've missed Tori Amos concerts

Man was a real-life siren. He could read the back of a shampoo bottle and move entire crowds.

BenderRodriguz1010
No one probably ever will either. That was a "moment".
Lordborgman
Michael Jackson and him are probably all that will ever be close.
BenderRodriguz1010
Genuinely asking, was there a specific moment for Michael? Or just in general?
IrrelevantHandle
Imma add Elvis and Tina Turner to this
