Meh. Not like they matter. Nothing happened with Obama in office so *definitely* nothing is gonna happen with Trump.

We didn't do anything when 2 kids shot up a high school, we didn't do anything when 1 kid shot up an elementary school... on and on and on

151600 people dies everyday.

Did they ever stop?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No,but it always flares up after every one of these...then dies down till the next one. Hate to sound cynical, but it's a hopeless situation.

Guns control is not the problem. The media and lack of mental health coverage is.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We have to keep having it because the NRA is too good at spouting bullshit and lobby money.

So what about the guy that mowed down a bunch of people in a car? Should we make cars illegal?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem is that guns are so abundant here that even if they outlawed them people can still find them. There's too many to get rid of

And if he had a middle eastern sounding name, the travel ban debates would be coming. Welcome to America!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

No debates. The travel ban is back in effect with more countries added.

Fine, fine... Mental Health crisis it is!

Just an average Joe white guy this time, can't blame the muslims this time.

It always seems to happen that way. Some nut job kills a bunch of people with guns and then guns are automatically demonized.

A nut job killed a bunch of people in a school with a samurai sword in Sweden.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So outlawing swords is in order then! (Sarcasm)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think you need a licence to have a sharpened sword. But nothing can keep you from sharpening it yourself.

Oh, good grief......

What happened now?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nevermind

Based on his rate of fire, it sounds like he used an already illegal weapon. The "debate" will still happen, but sound dumber than normal.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

An illegal weapon and 9 rifles.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Dayum! I stand corrected.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He used an illegal weapon. Really not much we can do except try and end the black market for firearms. Only people with class 3 licenses 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Didn't he have like 10 rifles in his room?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Illegal weapons almost always start out legally purchased. We don't have a lot of imported illegal guns into the US.

YES! THIS RIGHT HERE PEOPLE!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

can purchase fully automatic weapons. So he either stole it somehow or found a dealer. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

He had 10 weapons when they found him.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Just learned that after more developments. Went off what I knew at 7am this morning

9 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Not true. Law abiding citizens can own machine guns if the state allows. Just need that tax stamp and be manufactured before 1984...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And money. Lots..

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and 30,000 or more dollars later

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not quite. Some mgs can be had for 15 or less. Really depends on what you want. Sure an AK can start around 30k, and mp5 around 40k.

Along with a rigorous federal background check and a months long waiting period during which the FBI observes you to make sure you're (1)

Right.. tax stamp criteria :)

(2) a nut, like this guy. I'm not sure if an auto weapon purchased and abiding by the 1986 weapons ban has ever been used in a..

(3) verifiable crime. But there's always a first time for something, I guess. Likelihood of this being that case? Low, but always possible.

(4) edit to number (2): NOT a nut. To make sure you're NOT one. I digress.
