One last time... A NYE ending

My normal seat. On July 15th '99 I first set foot in a Seattle dive bar and made it my home. Coming from the Midwest having "your bar" was a right of passage. We spent a great decade, potlucks, packing the house for the big game of the month, the IronFly tournaments. (best finish in a tournament of cribbage, domino's, and pool.) Sure we grew, some moved on, some new faces came in but the anchor was playing softball. I've been on the team for over 20 years. Tonight the march of progress takes another victim, the place is closing down for good. There's a hole in my heart, how do you replace a community? It's a bitter sweet night as friends old and new come down for one for the road... and maybe one for the ditch.
