I've seen people do it and usually I recycle my parts to someone, but recently upgraded my kid's PC so had extra mobo and psu lying around. Works fine, heat isnt a prob without load; and makes a great bench box(couldn't help it)to test stuff. Enjoy my storage box. (I know I'm gonna get downvoted for that one lol.)

Heat might not be a problem right now, enough dust and it is and that thing burns. Also voltage which kills you faster than you might think.
