Tax the churches.
I agree we should tax churches. It's a popular idea, especially these days.
But let me just add a caveat that broadens the scope on a popular sentiment rooted in a narrow view.
There should be a revenue ceiling. Earn more than the ceiling, get taxed on the difference.
Why?
Because most people think of mega churches. You're probably thinking about Joel Olsteen and the like (who made his millions selling books, not taking from the donation plate, and also reverse-tithes I.E. keeps 10% and donates 90% of earnings).
However, the other VAST majority of actual churches can barely keep the lights on, let alone pay the pastor, and provide vital services to the community they serve.
So, yes, tax the churches, but only the churches making more than a set tax-free limit. Otherwise it's the government single-handedly shutting down thousands of churches....not very "separation of church and state."
Tax the friggin' NFL.
I know this runs the risk of being obliterated from the light of day from the anus of usersub, but it is a VERY important counter-point to be considered. One that almost never sees the light of day on Imgur, which at one point in its history prided itself on being accepting of different points of view.
That's all. Happy cat day!

Maybe not the best medium for this kind of rants. Just saying.

Tax is theft!

Tax is: giving back to the ground you walk upon, the trees you breathe from, and the walls that protect you.

Taking something of mine, by force, for you is theft. It has nothing to do with giving. Giving is optional
