I have one of those cheap Walmart futons that bends at the back and at the arm rests. For our small apartment, it works wonders and it's stayed looking really nice as I usually keep a giant Star Wars blanket on it but I primarily use it with half the back down so my dog has more space to lay out next to me. Given that, the blanket would often get pulled and stretched around til I'd have to pull it off to fix it. It also got sucked into the cushion crack. A bunch.
So I got about 3 yards of fleece from the fabric store and got to work this morning.
Honestly so Happ with the outcome. It's a bit like a mutated fitted sheet, so still easy enough to take off and wash but a monster to fold.
Bonus: Now my favorite Star Wars blanket is back on my bed.

Keep updating it as needed. I've come to accept that my furniture will be destroyed over the next 15 years but at least it will look nice!

...corners snug but after a test fit, it worked out perfectly without. Course with a toddler it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for you. :)
