Intact dogs seem to live longer(look it up), you can do a vascetomy rather than castrating very easily in male dogs, there are options

Its better to let them get fullgrown so they have balanced hormones,neutering early can cause hormone problems but its not toocommon i think

My moms dog has permanent puppy syndrome from being snipped at 6wks. If done too early hormones can never get set straight.
