Seeing this, while divided at times in our beliefs, we are Americans and we are one country that can come together in the toughest of times.
But then seeing this made me start to think about how the states are seen mascot-wise. Texas is the longhorns, Louisiana can be a gator because of the bayous. I know my home state of Michigan is the Wolverine state. Kentucky where I live now can either be the Thoroughbred or the Wildcat state. I'm genuinely curious as what everyone thinks about what their state is and how it is seen. Thoughts everyone? Thoughts worldwide? How do you view your home country or area you're from?

Connecticut's is the sperm whale. "because of its specific contribution to the state's history" I guess we're pretending we're Massachusetts

I dunno about all that, but Indiana is the Hoosier state. So, we have that, at least.

Honestly asking. What the heck is a Hoosier?
Evenmorehorrifying
A person born in, or currently residing in, Indiana. Although, in other areas, it tends to mean along the lines of "red neck" or "bumpkin".

If Louisiana is a gator, then Florida is left with nothing but the mosquito...

Maybe a pelican for Louisiana and Florida gets the gator?

Florida has the biggest roaches I've ever seen, you can call them Waterbugs if you want, but they are gross and the size of a toddlers foot.
