This piece was a custom order request and ended up being 1.18ct at 6mmx6mm cushion cut.
A look at the rough stone.

Shaping the stone.
Polishing the pavilion.
Putting in some concave cuts. I only put 4 in here as I did not want to overwhelm the stone, but wanted the Concave cuts to work in with the flat facets.
Shaping the crown.

Oooo that's pretty I have a chunk of raw peridot with that clarity that I was thinking of making a cab with

What grit is your polishing medium? Also may I ask what your final polishing medium is?
VentusSolis
For cutting I will generally preform at 325 and shape at 1200 sintered. For small stones I go straight to 1200.

Depends on the stone, for this one I used crystallite A 3micron on a tin lap. I sometimes use 100k diamond or cerium oxide stone depending.
Exyr
Cool thanks for the info. I've been working with 100k diamond and was wondering if using cerium oxide is better. Seems cheaper 1/2
VentusSolis
Depends on the material, some polish works better than others, there is a chart online about the different polishes.
