I was originally going to do her Expedition outfit but then I unlocked Obscur and that’s what I’m going with now!! It will take me probably 6 months though because I no work a full time job and this is my little side hobby :) so in the meantime I’ve been rocking her Lumiere outfit! Reference photos of the character/skins below as well some WIPS of my pattern making for Obscur and a new version of her rapier (I’ve since reprinted a more accurate STL).
I can pass more of a likeness to her if i widen my eyes/maintain a relaxed expression - but since these shots were outside I couldn’t help but be squinty!

That is a lovely sword, btw. It may be 3d Printed but it's an excellent design. I don't know if you do fencing or HEMA, but you can grip it with your index finger over the cross guard. It will bring the blade more into line with your arm and wrist and it is, frankly, much more comfortable to hold it that way.

I just started Act 2 as well. Such an incredible game so far.
There are some graphical issues that are a little rough around the edges, but this game proves that a graphics don't have to be perfect if you have a fun combat system and incredible story.

Agreed - there was one cutscene where the music transitions were actually very choppy and it was harsh enough to take me out of the game for a minute - but in a weird way it also added to its charm for me!

I really wanna play it, but the requirement to perfect dodge and parry is sadly gatekeeping me. Same reason I had to give up on Sekiro. Shame, it looks real good.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't going to be a game I'd enjoy playing, so I just watched a playthrough of it (by Jesse cox), which also allowed me to skip over lengthy battles

Playing on story mode (lowest difficulty) makes the timing windows bigger and the damage taken much lower. It's still challenging, but much more forgiving. This is what I'm playing on, because I'm mainly interested in the narrative.
I've heard there are also mods that will increase the window sizes even more.

I might play this. BUT ive never been into RPGs much less TBRPGs. I LOVED the Horizon games but can NOT get into The Witcher 3, fallout, Elder Scrolls, FF, etc.

It's TB, but also not TB because you need to dodge attacks all the time. And it's a RPG because you level up, but also not a RPG because you as the player have no impact on the story or character decisions. Would only recommend if you like souls-type gameplay and FF style of combat.

It's not the main character outfit. There are unlockable outfits throughout the game. Some of them are rather silly. I never use them because they kind of ruin the tone of the game for me.

It's an amazing game. Lot of fun. Painfully French. It is painfully French, however. Like you'll just be playing and enjoying the beautiful scenery, and the innovative combat, and then the game will just slam you in the face with something that is just overwhelmingly French. Just "whoo" to "ennui" in .2 seconds flat.

As a French speaker, I am rather disappointed that they used anglophone VAs that very obviously struggle to pronounce the handful of French words peppered throughout the game, rather than francophone VAs with decent English accents who would sound natural when using those expletives. The setting is so unabashedly French, it just feels wrong for every character to sound British.
I wonder if they did a test run with both approaches before settling on this.

I don't mind it that much, to be honest, especially since the English version's target audience is not French speakers (I'm French and play the English version because I personally find it more natural than the French one). That being said, I do agree with you: Esquie's English & French voices are both Maxence Cazorla's, for instance, and hearing a character speak English perfectly and switch to flawless French mid sentence is amazing.
