War on facts

Jan 4, 2021 11:18 PM

This is what a "war on media" gets us and is one of the most harmful consequences of a Trump presidency. You might not agree with how a journalist presents facts, but you still have to accept what is being presented are facts. You can disagree on the solution to a fact, or the impact of that fact, but you cannot deny that fact. Now that we've dealt with a President that was so divisive that facts are partisan, people are now going wherever they can to find sources that will discard facts in order to enforce their worldview, delusional as it is.

It hasn't only affected the MAGA crowd either. Anyone frustrated with the status quo will lash out over how a story is written because it doesn't say exactly what they want it to. As a functioning adult, it is imperative that you can distinguish fact from opinion, and acknowledge your own biases when reading any new source.

Society only works when we can all come together around a set of mutually agreed facts, even if we have differing solutions. We NEED to at least live in the same reality. We are rushing head first into our own destruction, and step 1 of recovery is accepting facts when they are presented to us, even when we disagree with how they are presented.

Time to revoke his license. A pharmacist has to believe in science.

Proof yet again that just because a person is educated and in a medical profession it doesn't make them intelligent informed on an issue...
