There was a period of time in the middle of my life I didn't want to be around. At 10 my folks got a 3rd golden retriever and she picked me. When I lost her 14 years later I think it was harder than I realized as the wish to die never faded until a few years ago when my dad wanted another Golden and she picked me, my life changed for the better. I had quit alcohol just before we got her, I haven't had a craving at all. I'm over 40
Just be careful feeding cats items that are not high in protein. They eat very protein-rich diets, and feeding them other foods can cause complications. Keep their starch intake to a minimum.
One time, mine decide to lie down on my face while I was sleeping : her back on my mouth and nose, rainbow style /bridge pose (don't know it could possibly comfortable for her...). The lack of air woke me up as I was suffocating. Super scary experience, but I wish she would still be there to do it again... One of those weird show of affection of her own.
I taught my cat to sit next to me (in another chair) at the dining table like a human. Cutest thing ever. I give him pet treats while I eat so we share a meal together. Highly recommend.
I'm bedbound and really sick, so I eat in bed and don't have the strength to keep him off my food. He's my favorite though and getting old, so I just use the distraction method to keep him from things that are bad for him and let him go to town on the rest. Once I started this method, I was surprised by what he chose to eat. I used to give him bits of what I assumed he wanted like meat and eggs, but now he eats asparagus and green beans and mashed potatoes too lol
It's the piano backing directly from 'what was I made for' by Billie Eilish. For once I recognized a modern song so a bit proud of myself, though it's only because it's from the film Barbie, and I still had to Google the name to make sure. So really it's actually melancholy piano, but sounds lovey dovey
I have three cats. I'm pretty sure one wants to kill me, one is afraid of me, and the third one uses me for food and warmth. I'm not certain if any of them actually have any affection for me as I do for them.
I think you're confusing affection with soul rupturing hatred. It's the cold dead soulless eyes that remind of either the owner of the bates motel or a great white shark. Still figuring that part out. They just let you keep breathing as long as you trade food for more hours of life
I mean, it's the piano from a song from the Barbie movie/billie eilish, and the song itself is more sad than happy, not bad, just melancholy and slow, difference being you can actually hear the child quite a bit rather than just wiped audio with a track on top.
I learned too late that pressure is a good thing. If you try to just be safe and quiet for them, they will just think their hiding is working and do it forever. You have to apply some gentle pressure to get them to come out and be brave. Lots of people on youtube can tell you exactly how to do that better than I could.
I foster kittens. There are tricks to get them to be more sociable and friendly. Always put dry food out but only hand deliver wet food. They will soon associate you with wet food and come out to greet you. Also do your own research online. It's impossible to post everything you need to know in 500 characters.

The parent doesn't know what POV means since they clearly mean the kid gained a bestie

I used to have a cat that would groom me while I slept. It was really annoying, but also super sweet and I miss it.

Me too. The best girl...

My kitty grooms me. Less now but it’s still a special moment

My childhood cat did this to me one night while I was sleeping and it's still probably one of the most weird panicky feelings I ever woken up to

Nothing like the absence of it to make you wish for those thousand of special inconveniences.

Calico Lady. Oh boy, are you in for some... some... some fun, yep, that's it... some fun times.

I really should try giving my cat his own plate. He would probably miss eating off of mine though.

For once the music is actually good. Piano.

The original audio was probably dubbed over with some stupid music anyway.
DustyMcKnuckles
I mean, its not that bad. Just some lovey dovey piano. Not unfitting remixed slowed down Rammstein or anything jarring like that.

Whos house is that clean when they have a kid? 30 seconds after my kid wakes up its like a hurricane came through.

We have two cats. But they have different homes. One of them lives on my daughter's lap. The other one lives on mine.

I'm convinced mine don't. They feel safe around me and come to expect me to do things they appreciate, but affection? I don't think so.
