That's all it takes. I'm sure Amazon has good intentions with this technology, but I don't trust IoT devices enough to allow them access to my LAN, let alone my neighbors, even if it's "secure", hah! My own IoT devices are on a separated Wifi network VLAN, unable to get back to the LAN. Amazon's idea sounds good on paper, but let's just remember that your average consumer doesn't change the default password on their IoT devices, thus what happened with Ring doorbell cams and other IoT devices people placed in their homes, getting "hacked" if you'll allow the term, though I'm not sure that's really true. Please change your default passwords on your IoT devices, cameras, doorbells, etc.!

Here's the link to what got me to post this: https://tulsaworld.com/business/kim-komando-amazon-just-started-sharing-your-internet-connection-with-your-neighbors/article_18455232-43c5-11eb-88e8-53edb37c39e2.html
(I'm not sure that Kim Komando is a real person or maybe just a Russian plant, but I appreciate her article popping up in my Google news to alert me to this, and I hope you do to, Thanks Kim.)
