french 1845/55(sorta kinda) vs japanese army kyu gunto. technically american civil war import but it was made in klingenthal to the french model soo meh. 

france sent military experts to help reform the japanese army in 1867 and the current french infantry saber was the 1845/55 which the kyu guntos were based off of.
