The amount of replies to imgur comments alone I backspace and delete because I think "these people don't care about ya dumb little side quests and thought trains".
But I also realise that sharing stories is a wonderful thing. I enjoy many imgur posts, but sometimes the comments are the best bit.
But I am replying to less emails, social media posts (where I am tagged and others where I'm not), texts, snaps, honestly I just hate people contacting me at the moment.
I'm going to try and work on connecting more, even if it's one sided. I used to care less about how I was percieved, but in the last short segment of my life, I've really started to withdraw. I genuinely am laying in bed fearing how this will be perceived, but also why does it matter? It's okay if I am just a Goober who overshares, as long as it's done respectfully (in the case of imgur comments, not telling my story/info if it's unrelated or is entirely off topic, etc.).

If you look at my trophies, pretty much all I do on imgur is comment. Only about 1/3 of my comments are ever actually sent so if you care, hit send, if you don't, then don't. Doesn't matter if they do, really, it's your social media

The app tends to crash before (and sometimes during) replies for me so I don't reply as often as I've attempted to reply. I try to copy the reply before submitting just in case. Other times I forget to copy it and sometimes I re-read and decide it wasn't worth anyone's time.

For me it's the "nothing good can come of this" or "know your audience" instinct, throwing seeds onto infertile soil. Occasionally I just don't care and rant/ramble anyway

Hmm, excellent question. I'm sure there is a band I love above all others (Fall Out Boy or Panic! At the Disco) but I tend to go through phases of soundtracks/albums and listen to that on loop.
I recently found the artist Fish in a Birdcage on Spotify, and there's a whole bunch of their songs with stringed instruments (like cello, violin, etc) that is very fun to listen to.

Upvoted in hopes you share what you are comfortable with. Perhaps the act of typing is enough for you and you don't need to transmit the comment. Thats fine. Use Imgur your way, don't feel pressured to do more then you want.
Consider not giving a shit about what other people think and say in response to what you post. You will never meet any of us. None of this matters, let out how you feel. Don't hold back. You die at the end of your life, so you may as well live it before you go. Peace.

If you cannot get over your fear of opening up and sharing what you type, consider never reading the replies to your comments. I personally only read 1% of the replies to my comments and posts. Its a comment, not a debate. I got books to read and a gaming backlog that is longer then my life, I aint got time to bicker over how to rearrange the chairs on this sinking boat we call life.
