I think this is a great idea!

Writing in people who didn't run is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. How would that even work?

oh right. my bad, i should just vote for hillary or trump only because their names are on the ballot. thank you for alerting me to my choice

Hopefully one day, you'll have matured enough to realize that.

Part of growing up and not being a snotty child is realizing life sometimes involves choosing the least shitty option.

you're the reason why the system has failed. our generation cant fix your generations mistakes when you stonewall us like this.

So if you think you're somehow fixing things by refusing to vote, you're just retarded

I like how you assume I'm from a different generation from you just because you disagree.

i like how you could be "young enough" to think theres only 2 options. your "experience and wisdom" teaches you its the same shit over and o

For the record, part of the failure is due to our atrocious voter participation record (roughly 50% and the worst in the developed world)

only 31~ of eligible voters vote, im choosing a candidate i can believe in, not "well i dont want trump to be president better pick hillary"

You can still write in other names and I believe that Gary Johnson is on the ballot in all 50 states. What would write in only do?

in theory nothing at all mild inconvenience. in actuality hinder stupid people and lower votes for popular parties.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that would actually be better for the established large parties. 3rd parties don't have the built in news cycle, ad dollars, or (1/2)

name recognition. They would get far fewer votes. Nearly everyone knows Clinton and Trump, but less people know Johnson, Stein or McMullin.
