Well, depends. If you're interviewing a politician and you ask them a question, and they go off on an irrelevant tangent instead of answering, you're going to have to interrupt them.
A good interviewer knows when to do this and when not (this is not a good interviewer).

I sat in a job interview once to ask a few technical questions. Interviewee talked over interviewers multiple times.. I brought it up after. They said nbd and hired him. Who would have thought, he kept it up. And was somewhat notorious for overreacting before he got all the facts. He was good at his job, sure, but it shouldn't have surprised anyone that he was difficult to work with/for.

Canada has robust and strict gun laws, and the shootings that DO happen are rare because of this. Even when it's illegal guns it's still rare it happens because guns are not everywhere in Canada. It's really just that simple. More guns = more gun violence. Period.

According to Wikipedia, the top 3 US cities for homicide as of 2024 were Birmingham AL: 58.85, St Louis MO: 54.09, Memphis TN: 40.61. Baltimore was still terrible at number 12 with 23.33. The US average sits around 5.76. All of these numbers are per 100,000.
These numbers do vary from source to source of course, but at it's worst Baltimore was at a frightening 58.4 vs a US rate of 6.3 or about 9x the average. Was that good? Of course not. But its still not what you said.
