The instructions were hilarious. I enjoyed that. But there is a lot of cooking blasphemy in this video.

to get more flavor, cook the onions until they're see-through, THEN add the garlic just a little bit before adding to tomato sauce.

Italian water in a cast iron? That's a good way to mess up your seasoning.

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

If you have seasoned your cast iron correctly you will have a polymer layer which is impervious to acid, just don't use abrasives on it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Treat it like any non stick pan once a good seasoning layer has developed.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A proper seasoning layer (polymerized not just oil) will also work fine with soap, It is at that point like I said treatable as any nonstick

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right? All that acid.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why did you beat the meat? Only poor red meat needs tenderised. Poor show indeed.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

To flatten it. Suppose you could butterfly it but alot of people flatten it with a mallet

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So it cooks completely before the crust burns when you fry it

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ok i get it

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ROFL, thanks for that!

Tomatoes in a cast iron is a bad time.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Didn't you watch the gif? They're melty milk pads

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'd reccomend baking it in less time than eternity, at least 3 would work

7 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

Three fiddy

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

3 eternities?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

3 speed

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

These directions are terrible. Onions go in before garlic

7 years ago | Likes 220 Dislikes 1

Each to their own!

Can’t say I understand taking the time to make the chicken crispy to poach it later either. Soggy breading sucks.

7 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 3

And who puts the crispy chicken in the sauce pan. Drizzle that sauce over the chicken to keep it crispy

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Exactly. And they were cooked for like less than a minute before adding the sauce, wtf lol

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Yes they do!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And they should have dredged the chicken in flour before the egg wash. Just all wrong.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Never use cast iron for red sauce the acidity is no bueno for the seasoning on the pan

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

If its seasoned properly it will be fine

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Came looking for this comment. I could hear my cast iron screaming from the pantry while I watched this

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

(I like the taste of [slightly] burned garlic)

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'll go as far as to say I like burned garlic.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I just like garlic. Burnt, non burnt, hell, sometimes il just pop a clove in my mouth and chew it like gum.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah but not really though
