I was almost killed by a drunk driver.

I was hit from behind by the drunk woman while I was driving my scooter in the far right lane (out of 3 lanes). Luckily when I saw the headlights I bailed and jumped. I had frequented this strip of road on bicycle in the past and I am well aware to be vigilant of any moving vehicle in the area & of my surroundings. She ended up hitting me on the right side of my body and my left side landed on the ground when I dove. I went to the drivers side window and calmly told the driver to put her car into park so we could talk. The driver was obviously very drunk & pulled forward dragging the scooter under her. A Bike Patrol Police Officer came up to her vehicle after she dragged the scooter a block & parked. The passenger then got out of the car, removed the scooter & switched places with the driver. The police officer stopped next to her, opened her door & told her to step out of the vehicle . The driver proceeded turn her car back on and drive off. She was caught less than a block away.
