FWIW, yeah, this is definitely a win, but it's more of a "yay, the Resistance hasn't been annihilated by the Empire" kind of thing. It's not really moving the needle back towards "we're not living in borderline fascism anymore".

As for Walz not being on the side of the people, it's a good reminder to make, but if I had to choose between Walz and some stooge backed by Trump, I'll pick Walz. Kinda like Magyar is still a conservative nationalist, but he's so much better than Orbán. Sure, I'd love to have someone like Mamdani or AOC for president, but I'll settle for someone who isn't an overt fascist. (2/2)
