The process is the punishment. The target's life is disrupted, they have to spend $$$ on lawyers, etc. It's all about intimidating them and everyone else into obedience and silence.

If they were issued illegally, why aren't the people who issued them facing investigation and charges?

There's a behavioral pattern to the DOJ that should require a Congressional review and/or investigation. Senate Judiciary Committee anyone?

Ah, but of course, nothing would happen because... REPUBLICANS.

the Regime will be doing everything it can to get the turncoat judge that believes in law over the Regime taken from the bench. if they cannot find a legal way Trump will label him an enemy to America and wait to see if his MAGATS will solve the problem.

Is this written by a real person? It feels like AI, and I can’t tell anymore

Look at all those em dashes, it's clearly AI /s

Trump administration will throw everything they can at the wall. Hoping intimidation will sway federal judge's decisions. And if they don't get their way they can blame the corrupt left

And if he didn't have the backing of a Governor title, was just a average citizen, he would have been in jail. That's how they abuse the system. Even if you're not guilty you're out of the way while pending prosecution.

Cool, but if you aren't eliminating the people abusing government power from government, it's not much of a victory. If every one of these weaponized charges ended in the prosecutor in prison for 10-20 years, we'd be having a much better time.

There is some value in having a paper trail for now

Exactly. Right now our only ability to punish them is extrajudicial. Our system keeps us from killing each other by offering us a future chance at legal, officially-sanctioned justice.

Patiently take notes, elect someone who's actually gonna clean house, and then hand them the notes.

Doomers will say Orban never would leave power willingly, but after years of the opposition winning 5%, Magyar won a blowout landslide, and he's absolutely destroying Orban's cronies now.

Careful, you'll get a whole bunch of chucklefucks crawling out of the woodwork to scold you for not celebrating uncritically and to tell you how "such talk is only intended to defeat our morale".

FWIW, yeah, this is definitely a win, but it's more of a "yay, the Resistance hasn't been annihilated by the Empire" kind of thing. It's not really moving the needle back towards "we're not living in borderline fascism anymore".

Hi, different kind of chucklefuck here! I just wanna remind everyone again that Walz deployed the national guard against protestors in the wake of the Floyd killing, and preemptively of the Chauvin verdict.

Dude’s not on the side of the people.

I wouldn't call you a chucklefuck for that. The chucklefucks I'm referring to are of the jump-down-your-throat shut-the-fuck-up variety. You know, people whose purpose in life seems to be to prove to the rest of the world that the far right doesn't have a monopoly on being assholes. They'll dress up their assholery in nicer phrases, but in the end they're still assholes who want to shut you up and will accuse you of "helping the fascists" with your "negativity". (1/2)

As for Walz not being on the side of the people, it's a good reminder to make, but if I had to choose between Walz and some stooge backed by Trump, I'll pick Walz. Kinda like Magyar is still a conservative nationalist, but he's so much better than Orbán. Sure, I'd love to have someone like Mamdani or AOC for president, but I'll settle for someone who isn't an overt fascist. (2/2)

Your particular brand of chucklefuckery is acceptable.

you should find some other source than a substack article, anybody can write a substack article 1/2

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Independent journalist that do investigative reporting like the Substack that I share do not have any less value than AP news.
Especially if the sources are listed and can be verified.

any dude on substack can call themselves an 'independent Journalist' doesnt mean shit, sorry. If i tried to use a substack article as a source i'd get laughed at

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

should we stick with the real 'journalism' of Fox News or The Post? Fork off.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a real, credible independent journalist would sell stories to be published by Reuters, AP, BBC, PBS, hell even Rolling Stone Magazine, where they can be verified & vetted and to ensure its not just lies or regurgitating other journalists work

The Bar Association is running head first into a credibility issue. And I have seen no signs they’re even aware.

I think you misspelled, "Flung into the sun via catapult, because they don't deserve to be flung by the superior siege engine."

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if you launched a person with enough velocity to escape earth and have a trajectory that would actually reach the sun, they would die before even leaving earth

Gotta break a few eggs if you want an omelette....

It requires far less energy to eject them out of the solar system than it does to send them into the sun.

Should be tried for treason and be locked up.

2 months ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

That's not what treason means though

They wouldn't be able to pay back their debt to society if we killed them.

Idea... take away all their stuff and then kill them. We can liquidate everything they have and they dont need to live for that.
